The
College is situated in a pleasant
residential area of the small
coastal heritage town of Whitstable,
the town is famous world wide
for its Oyster Farms, Fishing
and Water Sports.
Whitstable is easily accessible
by both rail and road, being
just a seven mile drive from
the eastern end of the M2. The
College itself is a 5 minute
walk from Whitstable railway
station, served by frequent
trains to and from Victoria
(which is approximately 80 minutes)
and by other mainline London
stations during peak times.
Over the past few years Whitstable
has become a popular weekend
retreat. The International Water
Ski Championships have been
held here for many years and
the area is now a well known
water sports centre. The annual
Barge and Yacht races are very
popular attractions. Not only
known for water sports, the
town is well known in the art
world for its picturesque views
and wonderful sunsets, boasting
many quaint cobbled streets
and historical black boarded
fisherman’s huts and cottages.
It has a great variety of restaurants,
street cafes and craft shops.
Whistable offers a diversity
of local attractions such as
the Oyster Festival.
Just six miles to the south
lies the historical, cultural
and commercial city of Canterbury. |
